Max Building Sum Insured

£1,000,000 — If you require a higher amount, please contact us.

Please note the importance of entering the correct rebuild sum insured as this will affect any claim payout.

When you're looking at a quote for Unoccupied Property Insurance, it's really important to check that the sums insured and the limits of indemnity are enough for your needs. If they aren't, and a loss occurs, your insurer might apply the 'average' condition. This means any claim payout could be reduced in proportion to the under-insurance.

For instance, if your insurance only covers half the cost of rebuilding your property, you'll only get half the cost of repairs or replacements. So, it's a good idea to review your sums insured and make sure they're adequate for the next insurance period. You can find more details about the 'average' clause in your policy document.

Excess

The excess amount will vary depending on the chosen level of cover. Additionally, you have the option to add a voluntary excess to your policy, which may reduce the premium.

Level 1

£100 excess and £1,000 excess for subsidence

Level 2

£100 excess, £500 excess in respect of escape of water and £1,000 excess for subsidence

Level 3

£100 excess, £500 excess in respect of escape of water and £1,000 excess for subsidence
